42. Eviana

Eviana waits in a Faven Palace room as Lange and Corbin fumble at her door, claiming Tessa sent them to help. Confirming Tristyn and the Witch Cienna are involved, Eviana probes her bond to Valter, who orders her to do whatever is necessary to free him.

When time runs out, Eviana opens the door and brutally disables a Fae guard with a broken wine bottle, severing his spine. She joins hands with Corbin, Lange, and Tristyn and is transported to the Arius manor, where Razik and Eliza are present. The group debates removing Eviana’s suppressing bands but fears Valter could weaponize her power through the bond.

As Valter presses her over the bond for information, Eliza argues for Eviana’s autonomy and proposes blocking the bond, citing Scarlett’s precedent. Tristyn accesses a database of Marks. Despite concerns about blood magic costs, Eviana—revealing she is part Silas Legacy—chooses to risk a Mark that blocks bonds.

Eliza forges the Mark on Eviana’s shoulder. As it takes hold, Valter’s presence fades to silence, confirming the block. Tristyn, still wary amid wider unrest, insists Eviana remain confined until Theon returns, despite Eliza’s objections.

Eviana accepts temporary imprisonment, requests pen and paper, and, once alone in the basement cell, begins planning her next moves, now free from Valter’s constant command.
