In the glow of their first kiss, Isla feels optimism returning and resolves to act. She proposes two ideas to Oro: host a modest Copia dinner in the castle gardens to acclimate Lightlark to Wildlings’ return and to publicly demonstrate her power despite rebel threats; and rebuild a home on Wild Isle for her people’s eventual comeback.

Weighing safety, Isla declines to bring Wildlings to the event yet. Oro flies Isla to Wild Isle, where they work in tandem: Oro channels her power to raise oaks while Isla restores withered trees and seeds a riot of flowers. The isle begins to thrive again, and crucially, Isla’s Nightshade-afflicted power does not take life, signaling real change.

Exhilarated and emotionally close after hours restoring the land, they return to Oro’s rooms. Playful tension over Isla wearing his shirt gives way to desire. Isla initiates, asking clearly for intimacy and setting aside prior cautions about timing and confusion.

Oro confirms her consent, then reciprocates, and they become physically intimate. Through tenderness and explicit affirmation, Oro reassures Isla of his desire and devotion. The night cements their bond, pairing Isla’s renewed purpose with deepened trust between them.
