Chapter 92

Overview

Dianna drags a mortally wounded Samkiel through a portal escape as the realms rupture. Learning Unir bound Samkiel’s life to the realms, she watches him die. Roccurem, fading, reveals a prophecy and the Mark of Dhihsin’s steps.

Dianna confesses love, completes the soul-bond, and revives Samkiel, sealing their fates as the realms fully open.

Summary

Dianna and Samkiel crash from a portal, fleeing Nismera’s forces. Dianna supports the grievously injured Samkiel through a slick tunnel as the universe shakes from rupturing realms. She discovers a jagged abdominal wound laced with dark veins that refuses to heal, and Samkiel admits his power is gone because Unir bound his life force to the realms.

As Samkiel grows cold and confesses his love, he dies in Dianna’s arms. Dianna’s attempts to cauterize fail, confirming he has nothing left. The quakes cease, signaling that every realm has opened with his death.

Roccurem appears, half-unraveled from Nismera’s attack, and explains his secret interventions and a prophecy: “One falls, one rises, and the end begins.” He outlines the Mark of Dhihsin—blood, body, and soul—saying love seals the bond and shares power, but resurrection demands a price.

Choosing sacrifice, Dianna rejects a world without Samkiel. She vows devastation if he does not return and declares her love. The Mark of Dhihsin flares on her ring finger, then fades; the cold presence retreats.

Samkiel breathes, his heartbeat syncing with Dianna’s, implying the soul-bond has taken and resurrected him. Their union restores him even as the realms remain fully open, escalating the stakes for the coming conflict with Nismera.
