Summary
Camilla faces a coven ready to flee the island. She insists nowhere is safe and sends Quincy and the others away, expecting Dianna’s vengeance for Gabriella’s death. In recalled confrontation, Drake admits obeying Kaden and The Order to secure Ethan’s mate, and Camilla recognizes they all share blame.
As unnatural silence and tremors sweep the mansion, Dianna arrives, having already cut through the coven and defenses. Radiating ancient, fed power and crimson-eyed with the Ig’Morruthen, Dianna confronts Camilla. She refuses to kill her and instead demands a conversation, mocking Camilla’s attempts at defiance.
Dianna reveals she seeks more power to wage ruin against Kaden and to withstand Samkiel and the celestials who might intervene. Camilla counters that Samkiel genuinely cares and will try to stop her, but Dianna deflects. When pressed for aid, Camilla confesses she secretly took and preserved Gabriella’s body to keep it from Kaden and Tobias.
Camilla leads Dianna to the hidden chamber. Dianna silently grieves over Gabriella, then ignites a controlled funeral pyre, declaring she has buried her family and has no one left. The display underscores her resolve and control, even amid overwhelming loss.
With the cremation underway, Dianna orders an urn and “one other thing,” signaling that Camilla will craft what Dianna needs. Dianna ends by announcing their next step: dismantling an empire.
