Summary
Dianna awakens from a cryptic warning to find a room full of gifts from Samkiel, briefly buoyed by joy. Music draws her downstairs, where she recognizes a private song from her past. Expecting Samkiel, she instead finds Kaden playing the tune, signaling an intrusion.
Dianna searches for escape or a weapon, but Vincent and Cameron block the door and herd her back. Kaden taunts her with surveillance Vincent controls and the revelation of her adoption, needling her about Samkiel while avoiding his whereabouts. Dianna appeals to Cameron, who confesses Kaden has Xavier and that love has driven his betrayal.
Kaden opens a portal and the group transports to a chamber with a stone slab. Vincent and Cameron restrain Dianna despite her pleas, as Kaden explains his turning fails on mortals—creating Irvikuva—but can transform celestials fueled by selfish resolve.
