Summary
Dianna and Neverra slip into Vincent’s Onuna facility, bypassing security and sneaking past a distracted guard. They move into a dim warehouse of boxes and files. Amid lighthearted banter about Dianna’s recent seclusion with Samkiel, Dianna reveals her motive: a vivid dream echoing Tobias’s taunt that Gabby is not her sister.
As they search for Dianna’s family records, Neverra offers reassurance and a place in her found family. Dianna finds a box labeled “Essam” and begins sifting through its contents, hoping to confirm or refute the claim about Gabby’s parentage.
The door explodes inward and Irvikuva pour into the warehouse. Dianna and Neverra douse their lights and hide, counting at least twelve, larger than before. The creatures scent the disturbed box, scattering crucial papers across the floor, and their chittering closes in.
