Dianna portals herself and the critically wounded Logan to the Grand Estate, using Logan's directions to arrive on the third floor. They materialize in the middle of a formal gathering filled with mortals and celestials, where armed guests quickly surround Dianna after recognizing Logan's condition.

Liam arrives with the Hand, and Dianna presents Logan as leverage. When Neverra tries to rush to Logan, Dianna tightens her hold and warns everyone that she saved Logan but can still kill him. Vincent challenges her, but Dianna threatens Logan's throat with her fangs until Neverra begs Liam to intervene, revealing that she cannot survive losing her soul mate.

Dianna demands a truce, not for herself but for her sister. Dianna offers to help Liam find what Kaden is seeking and help kill him, then surrender herself to whatever punishment Liam chooses, as long as her sister remains protected, unharmed, and free. Liam agrees that Dianna will still answer for her crimes, but Dianna insists his word is not enough and demands a blood-sealed pact.

Despite Vincent's objections, Liam cuts his palm and joins his blood with Dianna's. As Dianna recites the terms, Liam repeats them, binding his promise to protect Dianna's sister in exchange for Dianna's maker's life and, afterward, Dianna's own life. During the contact, Dianna is struck by a vision of Liam in silver armor bearing a three-headed lion crest, standing victorious over a battlefield and a monstrous corpse, confirming his terrifying legendary power.

Once the pact seals, the room's lights flare back to brightness and Dianna releases Logan. Neverra catches Logan and is joined by other celestials and a healer, who move to get him treatment. Dianna is left facing Liam's unwavering stare, her palm still burning from the bargain, and she wonders whether she has traded Kaden for another monster.
