Santiago enters Camilla’s meeting room with members of his coven and mocks Dianna and Liam. Before Dianna can attack, Camilla uses green magic to hurl Dianna into a chair and bind Dianna’s wrists, ankles, and throat; Camilla also pins Liam to the far wall with stronger bands. Dianna’s disguise as Ethan drops, revealing Dianna in her own form.

Camilla insults Dianna, while Santiago reveals that Camilla has cooperated with Kaden. Kaden has placed a high price on Dianna’s capture, and Camilla has been promised a seat for helping deliver Dianna, Liam, and the Book of Azrael. Dianna realizes that returning to Kaden would likely mean losing Gabby forever, so Dianna vows Santiago will have to drag her back.

Liam threatens Santiago for touching Dianna, but Camilla tightens magic around Dianna’s throat to silence Liam. Dianna deliberately provokes Santiago and keeps the conversation going, signaling Liam to stay calm while Liam continues testing his bonds. Santiago taunts them by claiming Kaden cannot die, but Dianna challenges that belief and calls Santiago a disposable flunky.

Santiago approaches Dianna, touches her face, and needles her about needing Kaden’s love. Then Santiago pulls a gun, presses it to Dianna’s head, and says shooting Dianna will not kill Dianna but will make Dianna easier to transport. When Dianna questions his use of the word us, Santiago points to the window.

Outside, Dianna sees multiple Irvikuva in the jungle, with horned wings, talons, black teeth, and many more red eyes behind them. Dianna understands that Santiago has brought enough monsters to badly hurt or delay her and Liam. As a storm gathers, Santiago calls Dianna Kaden’s property, but Dianna spits in Santiago’s face and humiliates Santiago over his past rejection; enraged, Santiago fires the gun, but Dianna vanishes before Dianna hears the shot’s echo.
