After Nash patches up Gigi, Gigi wrestles with the decision to confess what Gigi has discovered: the bug, the hidden bag, the wetsuit, the oxygen tank, the strange necklace, and the knife. Gigi considers telling Avery or Xander, but before Gigi can act, Brady arrives still carrying the sword from the game.

Nash leaves Gigi and Brady alone. Brady asks why Gigi has not revealed the bug and pleads for Gigi to let the game continue. When Gigi accuses Brady of lying and using Gigi, Brady insists that Brady would tell any number of lies to get Calla back and suggests that winning the game could somehow bring Calla Thorp back.

Gigi challenges Brady about whether their connection was real. Brady admits that the enclosed world of the island allowed real moments to happen, but Brady refuses to give Gigi the sword and makes clear that Brady still needs the game to go on. When Brady calls Gigi by Gigi’s real name, Juliet, Gigi realizes Brady knows more than Brady has admitted and notices that Brady never named Brady’s own sponsor.

Gigi connects Brady’s secrecy to Knox’s warnings about the Thorps and the idea that Orion Thorp may not be the only Thorp who plays games. Brady leaves as Xander arrives, but before going, Brady tells Gigi that no one has made Brady forget Calla in six years, though there were moments with Gigi.

Xander gently offers Gigi comfort, humor, a scone, and the chance to talk. Gigi knows telling Xander everything is the rational choice, but Gigi cannot bring herself to do it yet. Instead, Gigi asks whether Gigi has until noon, and Xander chooses not to press, offering support without demanding answers.
