Fifty-three days after Ryle left Lily's apartment and stopped contacting her, Lily has stayed busy preparing her flower shop. On the day of a small soft opening, Lily and Allysa turn the sign to open, celebrate their work, and wait anxiously for their first customer.

The first person through the door is Ryle, which startles Lily. Ryle is impressed by the transformation of the building and praises the shop, while Allysa credits Lily's vision and her own help in bringing it to life. Ryle asks whether he can be the first official customer, and Allysa tells him he must buy something first.

Ryle chooses a vase of purple lilacs, making Lily privately react to the significance of the flower.
