Uncle Jeff enters the container and finds Charlie chained inside. Charlie immediately claims Rachel has gone insane, trapped him for two weeks, and poisoned Bel against him. Jeff is confused but moves toward helping Charlie, while Rachel warns him not to interfere and Bel tries to stall by asking how Jeff found them.

Jeff explains that after Bel and Rachel failed to return to dinner, he and Carter followed Yordan to Patrick’s house, found the books scattered, and discovered Rachel’s note naming Patrick Price and the red truck. Rachel presses Jeff to repeat the note aloud, then accuses him of already knowing the truth. Jeff denies knowing from the start but admits he began suspecting something after Rachel returned.

Bel finds a tiny pink baby sock among Rachel’s old belongings and realizes it does not belong to Bel. Rachel and Jeff’s argument reveals the secret: Carter is Rachel’s daughter. Rachel explains that Rachel was pregnant when Patrick locked Rachel in the container, delivered the baby alone, and had the newborn taken by Patrick after two weeks. Patrick promised the baby would go to a good home, and Rachel never saw her again.

Rachel says that after escaping, Rachel searched for her missing baby and eventually recognized Carter in Sherry’s Facebook photos. Jeff explains that Patrick deceived Jeff and Sherry with a story about an undocumented pregnant woman who wanted to give up her baby, leading Jeff and Sherry to fake Sherry’s pregnancy and raise Carter as their own. Jeff admits that after Rachel returned, Carter’s resemblance to Rachel made Jeff suspicious, and Bel realizes Jeff had been questioning Patrick about Carter, not Rachel.

Rachel reminds Jeff that Charlie’s violence caused everything: Charlie asked Patrick to kill Rachel, and Carter would have died too if Charlie had gotten his way. Despite this, Jeff decides he must free Charlie because Charlie is his brother. Rachel refuses to give up the key and instead throws it out of the container into the dark logging yard, making it nearly impossible to find.

Charlie orders Jeff to find a saw or tool to cut the chain. Jeff obeys and leaves the container with the flashlight. With Charlie still chained but help now being sought, Rachel grabs Bel’s hand and tells Bel to run.
