Chris sits with the Thursday Murder Club and enjoys the unusual feeling of being treated with respect and fascination. He explains that Tony Curran’s house had modern cameras, but the system failed and produced no useful footage.

Elizabeth carefully presses Chris about suspects, trying to learn whether Ian Ventham is the only focus of the investigation. Chris refuses to share specifics, but his mention of “persons of interest” suggests the police are considering more than one possibility.

Joyce softens the questioning with cake, while Donna intervenes to stop Elizabeth from drawing too much out of Chris. Ibrahim praises Chris’s abilities, and Donna backs him up, reinforcing the odd but cordial atmosphere between the police and the residents.

Elizabeth then shifts from taking information to giving it. She hands Chris a large blue binder of financial material concerning Ian, Coopers Chase, and Ian’s relationship with Tony, suggesting it may help the murder investigation. Donna promises to review it herself.

Joyce answers the intercom and returns with Jason Ritchie. His arrival brings another major figure connected to Tony into the room, and Chris immediately recognizes the importance of finally meeting him.
