Overview
Jules returns from bridal photos uneasy as Will anxiously approaches Piers and Johnno. After a scare in the kitchen with Freddy carving lamb, a commotion reveals Olivia drowning. Will rescues her, prompting Jules’s furious outburst at Hannah. With tension high and guests unsettled, Aoife calmly redirects everyone to the reception.
Summary
After the ceremony, Jules and Will pose by the cliffs as the wind rises. Back among guests, Jules notices Will’s distracted focus on Piers speaking with Johnno. Will breaks character and heads over, heightening Jules’s lingering unease despite the successful ceremony.
Seeking calm, Jules slips into the Folly’s kitchen and startles at the sight of Freddy with a blood-smeared apron and carving knife, then realizes he’s preparing lamb. Embarrassed and still tense, she returns outside.
A hush spreads as guests stare toward the sea. Pushing through, Jules recognizes the struggling swimmer as Olivia. Will, with Charlie and others, rushes into the surf, and Will brings Olivia ashore, scratched from her attempts to fight him off. Johnno remarks she could have been swept out to sea.
Seeing Will’s scratches, Jules’s fear flips to anger. She calls Olivia a “crazy little bitch,” and when Hannah suggests Olivia needs help, Jules snaps harshly at Hannah. Olivia tries to speak but can’t; their mother arrives and envelopes the sisters, while onlookers linger, uncertain.
With the scene threatening to derail the event, Aoife steps in, projecting calm authority and directing guests back to the marquee for the wedding breakfast, containing the crisis for the moment.
