Summary
Hannah battles for rationality but accepts the truth implied by Jethro and Luis: Will is the anonymous poster who humiliated Alice and precipitated her death. She recalls Will feigning recognition of her at the rehearsal, realizing he recognized Alice’s face in hers.
Entering the marquee, Hannah is flooded with rage at Will’s thriving charm and privilege while Alice’s life was cut short. As the power flickers, she forces through the crowd toward the cake-cutting, feeling estranged from Charlie and fixated on Will.

Jules abruptly grabs a handful of cake and slams it into Will’s face, an act that reads like a strike.
