Avery, Jameson, Grayson, Nash, and Xander drop into the hidden room and open the door. Beyond it is an empty cell containing only a small wooden box. The box bears golden letter tiles spelling "AVERY KYLIE GRAMBS," with four blank tiles placed among the names, making Avery feel that the entire game has somehow narrowed to her.

When Avery cannot open the locked box, Jameson prompts Avery to focus on the letters. Avery removes the tiles and realizes they serve as the mechanism for the lock. Grayson sorts the letters, and Nash identifies the puzzle as an anagram.

Avery rearranges her own name and discovers that "Avery Kylie Grambs" becomes "A very risky gamble." Xander recognizes the phrase as something Tobias Hawthorne used to say about his plan, and Grayson repeats it while looking at Avery. The discovery deepens Avery’s confusion about why Tobias selected her and how he knew so much about her, including her birthday and full name.

When Avery places the final tile, the lock releases and the box opens. Inside are five envelopes, one addressed to each of them. The Hawthorne brothers read their letters privately: Nash curses, Grayson goes still, Jameson laughs brokenly, and Xander pockets his without comment.

Avery opens her envelope hoping for answers about why Tobias found her, why he apologized, and what he wanted from her. Instead of a letter, Avery finds only a single packet of sugar, leaving the central mystery unresolved and pointing toward another clue.
