RECO 3 marches through the forest searching for Roz, but the island animals have already organized a coordinated assault. Swooper commands birds from above while Fink directs ground animals from below, using constant movement and noise to distract the robot and lure him deeper into a trap.

Chitchat attacks first, leaping from the branches to claw at RECO 3's eyes and shouting that anyone who tries to take her friend's mother away must face her. RECO 3 fires his rifle at Chitchat, sending a beam through the trees and singeing her tail, but Chitchat escapes into the canopy.

As RECO 3 continues forward, the ground becomes softer until the robot sinks waist-deep in muck. Once RECO 3 is stuck and vulnerable, Swooper orders the birds to begin their bombardment. The birds swarm down and cover RECO 3's face with droppings, blinding the robot and forcing him to drop his weapon to wipe his eyes.

The Fuzzy Bandits seize that moment to steal the rifle. With Tawny and Crownpoint watching, the raccoons place the weapon on Crownpoint's antlers, and the deer and raccoons carry it away into the shadows. When RECO 3 realizes the rifle is gone, the blinded robot can only make a sad electronic sound and begin trudging back through the muck.

For the final stage of the plan, Broadfoot the bull moose steps into RECO 3's path. The blinded robot walks within range, and Broadfoot repeatedly kicks the robot's head with powerful blows. The kicks crush RECO 3's head, tear open the robot's neck, and finally knock the head free; the headless body smokes, stops moving, and is destroyed.
