Pip prepares for George’s calamity party with Cara and Lauren, who make her change clothes and let Cara do her makeup. Pip’s parents tease her about going to a house party, while Pip stays focused on the real reason she wanted to attend: finding a lead on Andie Bell’s drug supplier.

At the party, Pip enters a chaotic, alcohol-soaked house full of drunken classmates. Pip avoids actually drinking by pretending to sip vodka lemonade, then dumping it and replacing it with water. While her friends socialize, Pip watches the room for signs of drug dealing, hoping to identify someone connected to Andie’s old supply chain.

After seeing a classmate head outside to smoke, Pip realizes the garden is a better place to look. Pip approaches Stephen and awkwardly pretends to be drunk and interested in buying cannabis, using slang she researched online. Stephen laughs at Pip but eventually rolls a joint and tells Pip that he buys from a man in town called Howie.

Pip pushes Stephen for direct contact details, but Stephen refuses to give out Howie’s number and instead offers to buy drugs for Pip himself. Pip changes tactics, suggesting Stephen needs Pip’s number. When Stephen hands over his unlocked phone, Pip searches his contacts, finds “Howie Bowers” and a phone number, then creates a distraction by throwing the joint onto the lawn so Pip can secretly photograph the contact on her own phone.

After Pip refuses to give Stephen her number and says she is going inside, Stephen becomes aggressive. Stephen grabs Pip and tries to kiss her despite Pip’s refusal; Pip shoves Stephen off the wall and calls him out. When Pip realizes they are alone in the garden, fear takes over, and Pip runs for the house after Stephen grabs Pip’s wrist. Pip locks the door behind her and pushes through the party crowd, shaken and searching for Cara’s familiar face.
