Overview
Grim drags a captured Isla before Cronan, emotionless after his memories were erased. Cronan rips Isla’s mother’s seer charm and fuses it to his crown, using it to project visions of Isla killing Grim or Oro. He offers her eternal servitude to stay with Grim and declares her world will fall in three weeks.

Summary
Isla awakens drenched and aching in a dungeon cell, face-to-face with Lark, who taunts that Grim only keeps Isla alive as leverage and will return to finish her. Isla clings to hope because Grim spared her life during their last clash, despite his erased memories.
Grim arrives, cold and brutal, and drags Isla through bustling castle corridors filled with alien dignitaries, signaling Cronan’s growing court. Isla pleads, but Grim vows to kill her “not yet,” and forces her into the galaxy room where Cronan awaits beneath a partially broken crown.
Cronan seizes control of Isla’s body and strips her mother’s charm from her wrist, fusing the seer power into his crown. He unleashes illusions: first Isla professing love to Grim before stabbing him, then Isla killing Oro with the same blade, framing her as the dynasty’s ruin unless she joins them.
Cronan offers Isla eternal servitude—symbolized by adding her bone to his shifting crown—in exchange for power, survival, and proximity to Grim. He casually reveals he will destroy Isla’s world and move on to the next galaxy, a revelation that seems to unsettle Grim, who had expected mercy for his people.
