Seeking the silver pool, Cronan abruptly sends shadows into Grim’s mind. Grim’s own darkness repels the intrusion, and Cronan, unfazed, orders Grim to search for the pool that hides from Cronan but might reveal itself to Grim. To gather information, Grim restrains his rage and outwardly agrees.
