As Grull fully manifests, Carl learns that all four-legged creatures nearby have their strongest attack temporarily doubled. Carl, Donut, Corcunda, Dong, and Grigori drive off the end of the upside-down track into a new room full of crates, using Bubble Buddy and the truck’s Limbo upgrade to glide toward the distant exit. During the descent, Corcunda realizes Grull has come to punish him for re-forming, while Grull tears through the wall behind them and closes in through the molten metal.

When the truck lands, Grull’s axe strike wrecks the vehicle’s shield and a tire, while slag elementals surge ahead of him. Donut uses Laundry Day to eject the Maestro from Grull’s chest and drop the orc into the molten steel, buying the group a short reprieve before the Maestro can regenerate and return. Carl activates the spider legs and heads for the only exit, but the legs are slow, the room is clogged with wrecked racers, and the elementals are rapidly overtaking everyone.

Seeing the jam at the doorway and understanding that Grull will not leave until he has punished him, Corcunda decides to go to the god voluntarily. Dong refuses to abandon him. The two share a farewell, Corcunda gives Dong his scarf, and Dong summons his lance, choosing to ride with Corcunda into battle. Donut, recognizing this as their best chance to survive, casts Big-Ass Magnet on Dong’s lance and warns that it will grow stronger over several seconds.

As Carl’s truck approaches the exit, Corcunda and Dong leap out and charge directly at Grull. The magnetized lance pulls millions of screws from the shattered crates, and the flying metal rips through the oncoming slag elementals, collapsing them into molten puddles while also peppering Dong and Corcunda. Even so, Dong lowers the lance and strikes Grull. The god calls it "a good death" and vanishes back to the twelfth floor, taking the immediate threat with him.

After that sacrifice clears the way, Carl and Donut travel through a Hole and push through the final stretch in silence and exhaustion. Their team crosses the finish line with only fifteen seconds remaining. Heat Five ends with Team Sparkles in first, Team Free Love in second, Team Flamengo in third, and the Royal Court of Princess Donut in fourth, while Lady Dominators and the Gimp are eliminated; despite the loss of Dong and Corcunda, Carl’s group survives and completes the quest.
