Despite Kvothe’s initial humiliation and reluctance to strike a child, Celean quickly exploits his size and balance, battering his legs, toppling him with Threshing Wheat and Turning Millstone, and marking a clean submission. She unveils her own variant of Break Lion that escapes his grip and floors him, demonstrating technique over strength.

In a rematch, Kvothe presses his reach, but Celean controls tempo and footing, trips him, and binds him in Ivy on the Oak until he submits. Kvothe acknowledges her superior skill, while Celean bluntly judges his fighting as poor, challenging his cultural reluctance to hit women.
