Elodin’s unconventional training escalates: riddles, blindfolds, sleeplessness, and a notorious night trapped naked on the storm-lashed Archives roof after a lost key. Despite the absurdity, the methods work. Kvothe calls the name of the wind twice—once on Stonebridge with Elodin’s prodding, and once unexpectedly in Tomes, stirring a breeze he then reins in—hinting at a third, greater use to come.
